Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use our Google Workspace™ add-on.

Social Media Officer's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. 

Collection of Information:

We collect personal information when you use our add-on, such as your name, email address, and any other information necessary to provide our services to you. We may also collect information about your use of our add-on, such as the content you publish and the social media platforms you use.

Retention of Information:

The data you enter into the spreadsheet, including your post content, platform selections, and publishing status, is stored within your own Google Sheet. We do not store a copy of this data outside of your sheet. You are responsible for the data you store in your spreadsheet and its retention. We use Google Script's logging service for debugging and troubleshooting. These logs may contain information about the script's execution, including the values of variables during processing. We retain these logs only for the period necessary for debugging, and they are subject to Google's data retention policies. When you publish posts through our add-on, the respective social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google My Business) will store your posts and associated data according to their own terms of service and privacy policies.

Data Deletion:

 You have full control over the data in your Google Sheet. You can delete any data within your sheet at any time, including post content, platform selections, and publishing status, by deleting the relevant rows, columns, or the entire sheet. Google Script execution logs are managed by Google. For information on the retention and deletion of these logs, please refer to Google's privacy policy. The social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google My Business) store your posts and associated data according to their own terms of service and privacy policies. You should consult those policies for information on deleting posts and other data. 

Authorization Data:

We use Google's built-in OAuth2 authorization service to connect to your social media accounts. We do not store your OAuth2 access tokens directly. These tokens are managed securely by Google. You can revoke access to your social media accounts from our add-on at any time by going to your Google account security settings and revoking the permissions granted to the "Social Media Officer" add-on.

Use of Information:

We use your personal information to provide our services to you, such as publishing content on social media platforms based on the data you prepare in the spreadsheet. We may also use your information to communicate with you, to improve our services, and to comply with legal obligations.

Disclosure of Information:

We may share your personal information with third-party service providers who help us provide our services to you, such as social media platforms or cloud storage providers. We may also disclose your information to comply with legal obligations or to protect our rights or the rights of others.

Security:

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

Children's Privacy:

Our add-on is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to Privacy Policy:

We may update our privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes to our policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our add-on.
